You know what they say life often gets in the way of things you would love to do. Twenty-seven years in Coffs Harbour and the latter half was filled with doing, camping, growing children so painting or any artistic endeavour took a back seat.
The move to Manilla in 2003 after buying the Post Office was a busy time, yet a slow down time. Time to reflect on things you would like to do. So, the old mail sorting building was turned into a studio. I began to draw and enter art exhibitions, from Bingara to Currabubula.
The subject matter was different to the coast, shearing sheds, old buildings were a big focus. Commission work also came my way, houses and portriature.
